Here are a few things you might not know about me:
I keep a record of “brilliant” blog post ideas in the notes section of my phone, which I usually let Siri dictate for me. None of them are even the slightest bit legible, which leads me to writing blog posts like this when the time comes.
I have a highly sensitive personality type, which means things like: I cry a lot when I’m happy/sad/scared/excited; loud or conflicting noises, scary movies, sad news and other people’s moods deeply affect me; my feelings get hurt very easily and tend to stay that way for a stupid long time; and music (especially concerts or theater) moves me like no other.
I have three siblings, one of which is 15 years older, and one of my nephews is only 11 years younger than I am. Almost my entire family (immediate and extended) live in Central Florida.
I hate the way my voice sounds on camera, which is why I rarely speak on Snapchat — ironic considering..
As a child I often wrote my own songs and pretended to host a radio show where I recorded myself on a tiny tape recorder interviewing the band aka myself. I even made up commercials. (I swear I had friends).
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2011, but once upon a time I tried going back for physical therapy school (lolz).
I have, like, 12 grey hairs that I know about and I pull them all out around the same time, so every few months I have a bunch of short, wiry grey hairs that stick straight out of my head. Way cuter than just embracing them, no?
Before hiking Mount Whitney (the highest point in the contiguous United States), I’d never really camped or climbed a mountain before.
Aside from my childhood home in Florida, my Oakland apartment is the most permanent place I’ve called home.
I’ve never broken a bone, smoked a cigarette, gotten a tattoo or gone skydiving, and I use all of these every time I play “Never Have I Ever.”
I’ve made a playlist for just about every occasion/emotion that’s ever existed. Seriously. Let me know if you need one.
Tell me something I don’t know about you! Or ask me anything you want to know in the comments.

I always make lists of blog post ideas then I forget where I put said lists; it's a shame really because I know I have had some pretty brilliant post ideas ha ha. I hiked to the top of my first mountain a few months after I gave birth to my son. I thought I was going to die! Now we make it a point to go back and climb it every year ♥
