I jotted down some goals last month, and I got at them for the most part. I wanted to briefly touch on those and set more for the next four weeks. Let’s see how I did in October.
October:
ClassPass: With the help of a couple lady friends, I crushed this goal. I definitely made the most out of my membership by working out almost every weekday morning at 6am, and I was rewarded with a lovely email letting me know that my subscription will go up $20 moving forward. COOL, GUYS. Fitness update post coming at you soon, friends.
Concert Reporting: I didn’t really get around to telling you guys about Hozier and Little Green Cars, but you can read about Milo Greene, Zac Brown Band, Treasure Island Music Festival and Twenty One Pilots, so I think I did pretty well on that one.
Fall Fashion & Food: I’m still going on this one, but I haven’t been as active in the kitchen as I’d like. I have, however, been actively buying clothes. I have still have so many outfits I need to snap, but this month I covered fall jackets, skirts and dresses as well as some rad new specs.
Apartment Decorating: I started out strong on this one with major hauls at Michael’s and IKEA, and I even accomplished a DIY Instagram photo wall hanging and DIY broken glass coasters, but I did not finish the gallery wall or do laundry more than once for that matter. Woops.
Halloween Costume: Okay, so it wasn’t that creative, but my hair was pretty badass, right?
No Alcohol: I was good about Sober October! We decided to lift the ban for Halloween weekend, so the whole month wasn’t dry, but besides that I made it. And it felt good. Honestly, I didn’t miss it that much. I was perhaps slightly less social, but I managed to complete most of my goals in addition to doubling my monthly page views on this here site while I was at it, so I think maybe it was totally worth it.
Launch #PLUCKYtoNOTHIN Photo Challenge: CHECK! I’m having so much freakin’ fun stalking all of your photos in this challenge. Seriously, thank you to each and every one of you playing along. It makes me SO happy.
Learn New Skills: I still haven’t read my photography book.. fail. But I did manage to watch a few webinars and read many TNC tutorials. So there’s that.
November:
November:
AM Workouts + Moderate Alcohol: I want to keep these early morning sweat sessions and minimal drinking habits going strong. Wish me luck!
Cook/Clean More: Cook dinner three times a week, deep clean/laundry once a week. It’s so easy to get the roomies to split takeout or go out to dinner with me these days, but for my wallet and health, cooking more needs to happen. And cleaning? Ugh, I’ve been so lazy about everything from scrubbing the tub to doing laundry. This needs to change.
Read a Book: Since this post, I’ve done zero reading of actual books. I’ve been reading articles and blog posts like it’s no one’s business (hence the Friday links each week–do you guys enjoy reading those as much as I enjoy collecting them..? Probably not..). I need to get back on the #PluckyReads Book Club train.
WRITE A NOVEL: Yea, okay, everyone’s writing a novel this month, but considering I’ve had a NANOWRIMO account for three years and this is the first time I’ve actually executed an outline, I feel good about it. Better than usual anyway. There’s a good, okay great, chance that I won’t make the 50,000 word goal by the end of the month, but if I even get to half that goal I will be psyched.
Oh, and here are my November goals from 2013. I guess this time of year just makes me extra motivated.
What are your goals this month?

Good luck with your goals!! I am so jeaulous you've kept up with your workouts! That is definitely something I need to work on!! All the best with NANOWRIMO, even a line or two is a success!

My goal WAS to write a novel this month. It's November 5th and I haven't started. I don't think I'm going to even try. I need to make a goal of working out this month. But it's November 5th so the month already started. I am LOVING the #PluckytoNothin instagram challenge!!!!!! (Although yesterday I just drove around thinking, "What am I going to do for the "Road" prompt?!" and snapping whilst driving. Kinda dangerous, but whatever.) Definitely checking out for your Instagram DIY wall. I've been wanting to put up some pictures in collage fashion. Maybe that will be January's goal. Because November & December are already too busy.

My goals are just like yours this month! Apart from writing a novel, I've attempted NaNoWriMo and it is definitely not for me at the moment but I hope one day. Good luck with your novel!
