I’m having an emotional downer kind of a day. Ladies, you know the feeling, right? Where your eyes are consistently on the verge of a downpour and even a touching moment in “Modern Family” can actually send you into a fit of hysteria (yea, that actually happened).
The weird part? I’m not even PMSing.
A doctor’s appointment this morning has me on a restricted diet – no sugar, no (white) bread, no dairy, no carbs, no alcohol, no soda.
Luckily, my awesome boyfriend came over and sweetly reminded me that it’s not the end of the world and went shopping at the Earth Origins Market (formerly known as Mother Earth) with me. Tons of veggies, tofu, broth, beans and 100% whole wheat products later, I am feeling a little better.
I need to remember how lucky I am to have the health that I do, and the family that I have – the one that is willing to pay for my doctor’s appointments, prescriptions and annoyingly expensive diet.
At the same time I am so ready to start running again… Three more weeks.
As I was starting to feel sorry for myself earlier, I decided to listen to some of my favorite female vocalists (mostly from the 90s & early 2000s) to get me pumped up and empowered. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them too.
