Have I mentioned that I like costumes?
Here’s me at 10 years old dressed up as Queen Amidala (I come from a long line of Star Wars nerds..) My oldest sister, Brandy, made this costume by hand. Apparently I also come from a long line of costume enthusiasts. 😉
Back then, the costume photo shoot would come first, followed by breaking glow sticks to carry while trick-or-treating all over the neighborhood, then back home for fish sticks (with special ketchup/mayo sauce), TONS of candy and trying to spook each other out on the trampoline.
Don’t mind the very stern look on my face — I am certain I was simply trying not to shatter the illusion by smiling & therefore showing off my mouth full of metal.
I actually wore this costume to a costume party in addition to trick-or-treating and totally won “Best Costume.” Hey, if you can’t brag on your blog, where can you?!
This year I’ll be spending time with my family (including a little ninja and prisoner) handing out candy to hopefully tons of little, disguised trick-or-treaters that are as excited about this day as I was am.
Happy Halloween!
PS: Thanks, Brandy, for making me this awesome costume!!
